About

I was drawn to the field of therapy because of a strong interest in people and a profound belief in the resilience of the human spirit. When people have supportive and enriched connections in their lives, develop healthy thought patterns and coping strategies, and find balance between structure and adaptability, they are more likely to develop resilience and to live a satisfying life.

I am a Registered Social Worker with a Masters in Social Work and a Bachelor degree in Psychology and Developmental Studies.

I have almost 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families. I have had the opportunity to support individuals through a variety of transitions, crises, and experiences of loss and trauma. Some highlights of my career include supporting families who have children with developmental/ neurodevelopmental issues, supporting youth and families in crisis who experience safety issues and potential family breakdown, and supporting adults who have experienced profound trauma.

In addition to my private therapy practice, I see clients as an Associate with Dr. Solange Lavack and work as a trainer for the Crisis and Trauma Resource Institute. I have had the opportunity to travel throughout Canada to work with various groups, including many Indigenous communities. I am humbled and thankful to be invited into multiple communities who have and continue to experience the impacts of colonization.

When I’m not working, I can be found spending time with my two boys, cooking, reading, crafting, cottaging, taking a yoga class, or going for a walk with a friend.
